1. Roseman’s got a pocket full of money, and you know he’ll spend it.

If we were to quote one of the greatest poets of all time, The Notorious B.I.G., “mo’ money” should lead to “mo problems”, but in the case of a football team with increasing expectations and a ton of holes to fill, “mo money” could be exactly what the doctor ordered.

Ever since Howie Roseman rose from the ashes of isolation that was spearheaded by former Eagles head coach Chip Kelly, he’s normally been aggressive in putting the best possible roster together in an attempt to give Philly their best chance at winning.

Unfortunately, there have been injuries (Malik Jackson, DeSean Jackson, and Mike Wallace), and there have been a few gambles that didn’t work out (Donnel Pumphrey, Mack Hollins, and Elijah Qualls).

You’ve all heard about the numbers on more than one occasion, but just in case you missed the constant reminders, here’s another. Philly’s scheduled to have over $42 million in cap space according to Spotrac once the free agency period begins. They’re also projected to have ten draft choices.

Roseman’s never had more money or more picks at his disposal. That’s very comforting to a fan base that’s walking into an offseason full of uncertainty. Prior to the 2017 season, with Philly supposedly having no money to spend, Roseman was able to land both Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith for a team that desperately needed help at wide receiver when most of the fans and media would have been satisfied to land one or the other. What might he be able to accomplish with so many resources?

Yes, Eagles fans, there are holes to fill but don’t you worry. Help is on the way.
