3. Julian Stanford

Could Julian Stanford end up on his fifth NFL team after spending the previous two years as a member of the Bills?

More from Inside the Iggles

Talent wise, Stanford certainly doesn’t stand out like some of the other top defenders that are expected to be available in free agency come March, but from a depth perspective, a move like this could be great for the Eagles.

Right away, some Philadelphia fans will point out how Stanford has combined for just 18 tackles over the last two seasons in 29 games, and has struggled to find a consistent home in the NFL.

But also, this could work to the advantage of the Eagles if the interest were there for Stanford since they would most likely be able to sign him at a favorable price.

Just because Stanford could end up on a fifth NFL team since 2012 next season doesn’t necessarily mean Philadelphia should rule out this potential move since he still appears to have some gas left in the old tank, and will only turn 30 in September.

Adding depth will continue to be extremely important for the Eagles over the next few months as a result of all the injuries from last season, and even though Stanford may not seem like the most attractive, but for all they know, this could turn into an underrated move.
