Every year around this time, the Eagles always seem to be in need of help at the linebacker position, and 2020 will be no different when looking at the uncertainty with the position.

After spending the first four years of his career as a member of the Carolina Panthers, A.J. Klein would eventually join the Saints on a favorable three-year, $15 million deal prior to the 2017 season.

During the four seasons spent with the Panthers, Klein made a ton of progress by finding ways to improve each year, but his game elevated to new levels once he joined New Orleans.

By starting 42 of 43 games as a member of the Saints, Klein seems in for a hefty pay raise in 2020, whether it happens to be with New Orleans or another team in need of help at linebacker like Philadelphia.

With Klein turning 29 in July along with seven impressive years of NFL experience, the former Iowa State star still seems to have plenty of gas left in the old tank to continue making a significant impact as a defender.

Long shot or not, the Eagles should give serious consideration into Klein since he could be a great fit in Jim Schwartz‘s defense.
