The Philadelphia Eagles should be able to find a surprise star during the 2020 free agency period (even if that star shouldn’t surprise anyone).

As it is every single season, the NFL‘s free agency period should be a major talking point for fans. Recently, the deadlines haven’t provided a ton of sizzle, but that may change in 2020. Signing the right free agent could be the cure for all that ails a franchise at any particular position group, but adding the wrong one could set a team back a few years. The Philadelphia Eagles know this probably better than anyone else.

Despite the frustration that injuries and inconsistent play can bring, Eagles fans have a ton of reasons to be excited about 2020. They won a division title with a makeshift roster. Now, they get some of the guys they want back, and they can give walking papers to some of the guys they don’t want.

This may be the most aggressive that the Eagles have been in free agency in a while. They have an embarrassment of riches as far as draft picks go, and they’ll be looking there to sure up their roster in the selection meeting. They don’t want to ignore the available free agents that will be on the market though, especially the ones at the wide receiver position.

Here are three that instantly upgrade the Eagles corps (even if they don’t get mentioned as often as they should).
