3 Potential Philadelphia Eagles WR targets who aren’t discussed enough
Here’s a guy who Eagles fans will be familiar with if you’ve been following Andy Reid‘s run in K.C. Demarcus Robinson is one of those guys who’s going to need some great coaches around him to excel. He’ll definitely need an exceptional position coach. That could be a scary thought if you’re a ‘Birds’ fan, seeing as how they seem to be clueless about how to hire a wide receivers coach.
On the surface, they seem to have found the right guy in Aaron Moorehead and by giving added responsibility to Press Taylor. The latter is now, the passing game coordinator as well as the team’s quarterback coach.
That should help not only possible additions like Demarcus Robinson but they guys who are already here like Greg Ward and JJ Arcega-Whiteside.
Sure, it’s easy to say that D.K. Metcalf would have been a better selection than J.J. was, but with Carson Walch, it wouldn’t have mattered. Metcalf would have struggled just like Arcega-Whiteside did.
In terms of Robinson, he was a fourth-round selection by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016 that was only able to manage 500 receiving yards and four touchdowns in his first three seasons before getting more opportunities in 2019 and having his breakout season with 55 receptions, 449 receiving yards, and four touchdowns.
He’s one of those under-the-radar guys that could wind up being a cost-effective steal for someone looking for a wide receiver.
