4 Philadelphia Eagles 2020 NFL Draft prospects from Clemson
Now, this one’s pretty doggone interesting (that’s another Brian Dawkins reference). The six-foot-four, 200-pound Tee Higgins is fully capable of running the 40-yard dash in about 4.5 seconds.
Now, this draft stuff will make the imagination wander in all kinds of directions and come up with all sorts of ideas and scenarios. What if the Eagles actually took Henry Ruggs III in Round 1? Would they also add Tee Higgins in Round 2? They’d be set for a decade at wide receiver! That is, of course, if Tee Higgins actually slipped to Round 2.
This entire theory of taking two wideouts out of the gate also totally throws off the idea of the Eagles taking a cornerback in Round 1 or in Round 2, and we all know they need a couple of those.
That’s partially why this time of year is so much fun. No one knows what anyone is going to do, but we should have a lot of time to debate who will end up where. We also have quite a bit of time to discuss those 59 receptions Higgins hauled in during the 2019 season. 1,167 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns were the results of his efforts.
Do not forget about this guy when April rolls around. He’ll be at the Combine at the end of February if you want to get a closer look.
