1. Arik Armstead

Arik Armstead literally picked the perfect time to have a career season with the 49ers after setting numerous career highs across the board, including 10 sacks.

Seeing how Armstead only had nine career sacks in four season leading up to 2019, this shows how much of a leap the star defender took this past season, and this seems like only the beginning of what should be an effective next couple of years.

For obvious reasons, it would be easy to understand Armstead’s desire to remain in San Francisco since the team is coming off a Super Bowl appearance, and should continue to have one of the league’s top defenses once again in 2020.

But as mentioned before, the difficult factor that could come into play for the 49ers is money since a career year by Armstead means the star defender will be hoping to get a hefty raise this offseason.

Depending on how much money San Francisco is willing to offer, the good news for Philadelphia is if the interest happens to be there, they can afford to make him a hefty deal.

No one needs to explain the importance of getting to opposing quarterbacks these days in the NFL, and if Armstead gets added to the defensive unit, the Eagles will be in better position to earn a trip to the playoffs for a fourth year in a row.
