2. Eric Murray

After spending the first three years of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, Eric Murray was traded to the Browns last April, although it’s safe to assume the safety wishes the trade never took place since his former team went on to win the Super Bowl.

Between Malcolm Jenkins getting up their in age along with Rodney McLeod‘s future with the team being uncertain at the moment, the Eagles are expected to explore other options at safety this offseason.

A player like Murray may not seem like the most attractive option available when looking at some of the other safeties from other teams expected to hit free agency, but the good news is if the interest were there, the Eagles would most likely be able to land him at a fair price.

Since Murray only has 15 career starts to his name dating back to 2016, Philadelphia obviously wouldn’t need to break the bank to bring the defender on board for the 2020 season.

Even if Murray was brought on as a backup to provide depth at the position, for all the Eagles know, a fresh start on a new defense that is expected to be one of the top in the league once again could turn out to be a steal.
