Michigan is sending 11 prospects to the NFL Combine. That includes the aforementioned Hudson, Hill, Uche, and Peoples-Jones. That also includes four offensive linemen. They are Ben BredesonMike OnwenuCesar Ruiz, and a man that possesses a name that should make Eagles fans smile, Jon Runyan Jr.

In addition, Eagles fans and pro scouts and coaches will get a look at quarterback Shea Patterson. Could he be a potential backup for Carson Wentz? It could make sense.

The other two Wolverines headed to Indy are tight end Sean McKeon and Josh Metellus, a defensive back who could be a potential safety at the next level.

In 2019, Patterson threw for 3,061 yards and 23 touchdowns. Two of those scores went to Mckeon who also racked up 235 receiving yards while hauling in 13 catches. He’s more heralded for his blocking than his hands, but he is potentially a nice target and a third tight end for Carson Wentz behind Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert.

As for Josh Metellus, he shined last season with 74 tackles, two picks, and five pass breakups. All of these guys are worth a look during the NFL Combine. Then, there’s Chris Evans. He didn’t get an invite to Indy, but he could be an option at running back. If Philly grabs him, it may be as an undrafted free agent.

To make long stories short, the Wolverines continue to put talent in the NFL. We’ll see if they can figure out how to get around the Ohio State Buckeyes next season.
