54. . . . Eric Rowe, 2nd Round. . player

47th-overall selection (2015)

It’s amazing when you consider that, in a draft class that housed Byron JonesMarcus PetersSteven Nelson, and Quandre Diggs, Philly would wind up with the next three guys on this list, but we were all there and saw it happen.

Now, immediately, you can argue that Peters was off of the board already, and you’d be right. Still, there are quite a few people who are intrigued by the idea that Philadelphia took Nelson Agholor in the first round of 2015’s draft and allowed Byron Jones to land in the Cowboys’ hands seven picks later.

There were many fans and pundits who had Jones rated higher. Isn’t it ironic that, almost five years later, the Eagles appear to be done with Agholor and Jones is back on their radar?

Anyway, let’s talk about Eric Rowe. To most Eagles fans, he’ll always be remembered for two reasons. One, he had his arse handed to him by “Megatron” better known as Calvin Johnson in a nationally televised game on Thanksgiving (a game the Eagles should have won), and second, the best showings by Rowe came on other teams. He’s now a safety with the Miami Dolphins.

He’s racked up 163 total tackles, three interceptions, and 24 pass breakups in 53 career games (32 starts), but only 31 of those tackles, one of those picks, and eight of those pass breakups came in an Eagles jersey. Despite the fact that he’s still playing in the NFL, ‘Birds’ fans still label him as a ‘bust’.  Grade: D
