Philadelphia Eagles best and worst free agent options by position
Guard
Honorable mention: Denzelle Good
Since we’re on the subject of guys who could wind up being nice reserves, Graham Glasgow is a guy who deserves some mention. He’s proven that he deserves an opportunity to start somewhere, but if by some chance he winds up as one of the guys who highlights the second wave of free-agent signings, Philly may show some interest.
We know the ‘Birds’ like guys who can play multiple positions along the offensive line, and Glasgow transitions back and forth between guard and center effortlessly.
The same can be said about Denzelle Good who can play both the guard and right tackle positions.
Dishonorable mention: Brandon Scherff
Andrus Peat was a first-round draft selection of the New Orleans Saints in 2015, but he hasn’t evolved into what they thought he would be. He’s only 26 though, and with some coaching, he could be good.
Brandon Scherff‘s red flags come from just good old fashioned issues with durability. He’s a high-risk, high-reward guy, but he’s missed 13 games over the past two seasons. Philly doesn’t need to give any high-dollar contracts to any more guys who have a high chance of winding up on the injury report or the IR.
