Year after year, the Eagles always seem to be in need of help at the linebacker position, and this offseason will be no different.

To top Philadelphia’s need off even more, the team recently made the tough decision to move on from Nigel Bradham to clear up some salary cap space, meaning the pressure to improve at linebacker just hit new levels.

Replacing Bradham with the way he was able to make an impact over the years certainly won’t be easy for the Eagles, but at least this isn’t going to prevent Philadelphia from trying their best to do so.

Daren Bates is nowhere even close to being on the same level of impact as Bradham when considering he has been on three different teams over the last seven years without a single start, but from a depth perspective, this could help Philadelphia in a big way.

If anything, the Eagles should focus on how Bates appeared in all but three games for the Titans over the last three seasons to see this could turn out to be an underrated move, and most likely come at a cheaper price.

Plus, for all Philadelphia knows, a fresh start on a new team like the Eagles could help Bates finally become a starter since the opportunity to compete for the role will be there.
