Ladies and gentlemen, it’s draft time, and here comes a breakdown of two Philadelphia Eagles draft prospects, Henry Ruggs and Laviska Shenault.

It makes perfect sense if you think about it. The Philadelphia Eagles hold the 21st-overall selection in the NFL Draft and many of the theories surrounding what they might do keep leading us back to the same destination. It’s highly likely that they select a wide receiver. Enter Henry Ruggs III and Laviska Shenault Jr.

Once we finally reach the end of April, football fans will have heard so much about these two potential stars at the game’s highest level that they’re going to feel like they know both of them personally.

The wide receiver theory is one that most fans, NFL pundits, and media members can agree on for several reasons. One, the three best wide receivers on the market are aging and the subject of a ton of controversy. Their age is also probably a good reason why they all also ended the 2019-2020 season as being unavailable due to injuries. Philly’s got to get younger. Plus, they didn’t get all that they thought they would out of one of last year’s second-rounders, JJ Arcega-Whiteside.

Nelson Agholor is probably out of here, and if he isn’t, the Eagles fans are going to hang him an effigy. The Alshon Jeffery thing seems to have run his course and is heading towards being the biggest locker room distraction since whatever that was that went on with Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens. DeSean Jackson is well-loved by fans, coaches and his teammates, but he hasn’t played a full season since 2013 (the last time that he was in Philly).

Do the Eagles need wide receivers? Yes, they do, and Ruggs and Shenault are very real possibilities at 21. Let’s do a little digging on both.
