1. If what he’s already done translates, look out!

Justin Jefferson is no stranger to working his way up the ladder. As the younger brother of two former LSU starters Jordan and Rickey Jefferson, Justin, a three-star recruit at the time, decided to follow in his brothers’ footsteps. He saw action in just two games during his freshman year in 2017, failing to register a catch and rushing just once for four yards.

Things were drastically different in 2018 during his sophomore season, Jefferson exploded to lead the Tigers with 54 receptions for 875 yards and six touchdowns, displaying reliability and synergy with his quarterback Joe Burrow. The season ended with a Fiesta Bowl win for the Tigers, a game in which the second-year receiver caught four passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns.

The development between Jefferson and Burrow helped allow for the LSU offense to shift to a much more pass-heavy playbook in 2019, and Jefferson continued to step up to the plate. He racked up an impressive 1,540 yards on 111 receptions for 18 touchdowns.

Jefferson’s precise route-running allowed him to consistently producing critical big-plays for the Tigers in their undefeated, College Football Championship-winning campaign.  In the Championship, he pulled in nine receptions for 106 yards.

Following a nice two-year run, Jefferson decided to forgo his final year of eligibility at LSU to enter the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s been given everything from late first-round to second-round grades. If what he did at the collegiate level translates to the pro game, beware!
