Following a very important and interesting first day of combine workouts, Philadelphia Eagles fans can’t stop discussing Henry Ruggs III and Justin Jefferson.

If you watched the first day of workouts during the NFL Combine, your emotions are probably all over the place, especially if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan. By now, you’ve probably asked yourself everything from whether or not the ‘Birds’ are capable of screwing up yet another draft choice at wide receiver to how that is even possible when there seems to be a wealth of talent in the incoming draft class at the position.

Did you see what Justin Jefferson just did? A 4.4-second 40-yard dash time? Really?

In the weeks leading up to pro football’s job fair, Henry Ruggs III was the belle of every Eagles ball. Several mocks saw him as being the guy Philly would land. Bucky Brooks, in his first mock, threw some gas on the fire that is Laviska Shenault. The names, Justin Jefferson, Jerry Jeudy, and CeeDee Lamb keep rolling off of the tongues of Eagles fans as well, even if it appears that the ‘Birds’ have no shot at the last two.

As hard as it may be to believe this, there’s still an overwhelming nervousness in much of the Eagles fan base. It comes from the fact that even though there seems to be an endless supply of incoming talent in the position, there’s still one general manager and one team that can screw this up. That G.M. is Howie Roseman, and that team is the Eagles.

Ruggs proved the hype about his speed was real during the opening evening of workouts. Jefferson surprised a few people. Both have taught Eagles fans something. Those wide receiver workouts didn’t solve anything. We’ve got more questions than answers now, and here are three about two very interesting prospects.
