3 potential free agent targets for Eagles from Ravens in 2020
By Dan Parzych
3. Seth Roberts
Seth Roberts is a wide receiver who has yet to break the 500-yard receiving mark in six NFL seasons, but this doesn’t mean the Eagles should rule out a move like this.
If anything, Roberts could add some depth at the wide receiver position, and provide Carson Wentz with a deep threat to use from time to time to throw off opposing defenses.
After spending the first five years of his career as a member of the Oakland Raiders (now Las Vegas Raiders), Roberts joined the Ravens last year with the intention of providing Lamar Jackson to work with in the passing game.
Most of Baltimore’s success on offense may have come on the ground, but there were numerous times in which Roberts would come up big in the passing game, even if the wideout did only catch 21 passes all year.
Once again, a player like Roberts isn’t going to solve all the issues Philadelphia dealt with in the passing game last season, and he certainly won’t be a top option for Wentz, but from a depth perspective, this could have some potential.
For all the Eagles know, another fresh start with a better opportunity for more action could help Roberts elevate his game in 2020 to new levels.
