2. Tony Jefferson
Rightfully so, there will be plenty of Eagles fans who prefer the team avoids someone like Tony Jefferson after the safety was limited to five games in 2019 after suffering a torn ACL.

But when looking at Jefferson’s previous experience in the NFL as a starter, this kind of signing could be worth the risk since Philadelphia would most likely be able to get him at a favorable deal as well.
Between Malcolm Jenkins making it clear how unhappy he is over his contract situation along with Rodney McLeod expected to hit free agency, the Eagles have some uncertainty at the moment surrounding the safety position.
Looking at some the prospects from this year’s draft class, there’s always the chance of Philadelphia focusing on the position come April, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to explore free agency as well.
Even if there are some concerns over what kind of shape Jefferson could be in by the time training camp arrives, this still seems worth the consideration for a team like the Eagles.
Instead of focusing on Jefferson coming off a serious injury, Eagles fans should look at the impact made during the previous six years when the veteran was part of the Ravens and Arizona Cardinals to see what he could bring to the table.
