The studs

879. . . . Isaiah Simmons. . player

Isaiah Simmons did everything for the Clemson Tigers during his time there, and that versatility was on display yet again during the 2019-2020 college football season.

There wasn’t a single position on the football field that Simmons didn’t spend some time playing, and he was good at everything the Tigers asked him to do.

Unless Philly abandons what we believe is their battle plan, taking a wide receiver (and unless they trade up), there’s virtually no shot at them landing Simmons, but you can’t discuss this linebacker class without bringing him up. In the 40-yard dash, he ran an impressive 4.39. That’s faster than what Saquon Barkley did if you’re taking notes. He also had the best broad jump of the group.

In his final season in the other ‘Death Valley’, Simmons racked up 104 tackles, three interceptions, and eight sacks. That gives him 238 tackles, 11 sacks, 11 interceptions, 20 pass breakups, and six forced fumbles over the course of 44 career games.

He’s, without question, the valedictorian of this year’s class at the linebacker position, and he proved that again on February’s final day.
