One of Philly’s most trusted voices plants a flag.

You can’t be an Eagles fan that spends his or her time perusing the web for info and not know who Adam Caplan is. He’s an Eagles Insider, one of the most trusted voices among fans, and the host, along with Geoff Mosher, of their Inside The Birds podcast.

Keeping up with Caplan is hard to do as he’s everywhere from SiriusXM NFL Radio to FOX Sports Radio and several other spots around the country, but if you catch Inside The Birds, there’s always something of note.

In one of their more recent podcasts, Caplan indicated that Philly plans to go ‘all-in’ on landing Jones. Those of you who have this weird anxiety about the Eagles signing former Cowboys may want to get over it.

Sure, there was Orlando Scandrick, but there was also Herschel Walker. Remember that time the Eagles got the broken-down version of Walker, and he turned out to be Darren Sproles before anyone knew who Sproles was? Don’t forget that Walker played here for three seasons, and in 1994, he scored as a rusher, as a receiver, and he took a kick return to the house.

Gosh. Crickets. Okay, maybe that was a stretch. Still, Walker was decent, and there’s no stock to be placed in a statement like Philly shouldn’t sign someone that can help this team win because they played in Dallas. That’s like saying you shouldn’t draft a quarterback because he played at North Dakota State and got injured at the collegiate level. Come on. Work with us people!
