2. Brian Poole

Little did football fans realize back in 2016 that Brian Poole would turn out to be a steal for the Atlanta Falcons after previously signing as an undrafted rookie, and similar to Hewitt, the defender seems to be in for a hefty pay raise this offseason.

The Jets were fortunate enough to sign Poole to a favorable one-year, $3.5 million deal for the 2019 season, and while there’s a good chance the team will try to convince him to return on another deal, he will most likely test the open market just to see what else is out there.

When looking at all of the inconsistency from the Eagles at the cornerback position last season as a result of inexperience and injuries, the addition of someone like Poole would help put the group in better shape for 2020.

For obvious reasons, Philadelphia isn’t going to overspend on Poole if the interest were there since they have other areas to focus on as well.

But if the Eagles were looking for an impact player at a fair price for the cornerback position, Poole could be a solid option worth exploring, and if it came down to a bidding war with New York, here’s to hoping Philadelphia would have the advantage.
