. player. 811. . . . Donovan Peoples-Jones

Though it’s hard to remember now, Donovan Peoples-Jones was seen as one of the best receivers in the country when he signed his letter of intent for the Michigan Wolverines. Scout, Rivals, and 247Sports all saw him as a five-star athlete. ESPN saw him as a four-star prospect.

Most of that skill that made him so highly touted didn’t translate from high school to the collegiate level, and now, it’s hard to imagine how he’ll be able to conquer the NFL game when he struggled to be consistently productive in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Sure, you can blame some inconsistent quarterback play and Michigan’s seemingly ever-revolving door at signal-caller for some of the issues, but the inability to beat the press, the lack of attention to detail, and the sluggish routes are all on the man they call “DPJ”.

He ran a nice 40 during the NFL Combine, but he never lived up to his potential or posted a one-hundred-yard receiving effort in any appearance he made with the Wolverines. It’s hard to determine what he’d be good at once he’s a pro.
