4 Reasons Jason Peters might return to Philadelphia Eagles in 2020
Despite all of the thank yous and farewells, Jason Petersâ time with the Philadelphia Eagles may not be over.
The Philadelphia Eagles made a huge decision fairly close to the halfway point of Marchâs first week as they announced that their future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and nine-time Pro Bowl nod (seven times in an Eagles jersey) Jason Peters would be allowed to test the waters of 2020âs version of the free agency pool.
Thereâs been a huge outpouring of respect, fond farewells, and appreciation for the man the âBirdsâ and their fans affectionately refer to as âThe Bodyguardâ and rightfully so.
Lane Johnson was among the first to show his gratitude. Hereâs a quote,
"This man took me in and turned me into what I am today when a lot of people would have (thrown) in the towel. Nobody had a bigger impact on my career both as a friend and as a mentor."
Peters, a First-team All-Pro in 2011 and 2013 and a Second-team All-Pro in 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2014 just turned 38 in January. Here are four reasons why thatâs the case.
