3. Melvin Gordon

Football fans can say whatever they want about some of the frustrations surrounding Melvin Gordon over the years from an injury perspective, but at times since 2016, the running back has proven to be an offensive force.

Watching Gordon go his entire rookie campaign in 2015 without a single rushing touchdown was beyond painful to witness when looking at the previous expectations for the running back, but Gordon deserved plenty of credit for a strong sophomore season.

Not only did Gordon rush for 10 touchdowns in 2016, but seeing him record 36 rushing touchdowns in 53 games over the last four seasons shows why there will be numerous teams expressing interest in the running back during free agency.

While the Eagles rightfully have plenty of reasons to be excited about what the potential duo of Miles Sanders and Boston Scott could have in store for 2020, keep in mind that Philadelphia hasn’t been shy over using multiple running backs before.

If anything, the addition of another running back like Gordon would help eliminate some of the extra pressure Sanders and Scott will be feeling entering the 2020 season.

But of course, the one factor that could hold Philadelphia back from a move like this is the high amount of money Gordon could be asking for, so if what he wants is too much, this could be difficult for the Eagles to pull off.
