Here are the top-ten free agents at wide receiver.

As what’s been dubbed as the ‘Free Agency Frenzy’ approaches, one thing jumps out at you. This year’s crop of free agents at the wide receiver position isn’t as deep as what we see in the draft, but there are some nice options.

Here’s a top-ten ranking of some guys who are looking to cash in.

. . Amari Cooper. 1. player. 123.

It appears that the Dallas Cowboys are doing all that they can to keep their new triplets together, but can they keep both Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper? If they can’t, might Cooper and Byron Jones, two former Cowboys wind up in Philly?

. Emmanuel Sanders. 2. player. 42. .

If you ignore the fact that Emmanuel Sanders is 33 and just watch him play, there’s nothing to complain about. He’s reliable, healthy, and upgrades every quarterback that he seems to spend any time around.

If none of us knew how old he was, you’d never be able to guess his age by watching any tape on him.

30. . . . Robby Anderson. 3. player

Is it that terrible if you’re seen as a ‘one-trick pony’ if you’re good at that one trick? Robby Anderson is the best deep threat in this year’s free-agent class, and he’ll get a lot of money because he is. Unfortunately, he isn’t great at anything else.

Philly should steer clear because they need a little more versatility on the outside.

. . . Breshad Perriman. 4. player. 48

This one is a head-scratcher. Breshad Perriman is good enough to be placed in a few top-ten free-agency rankings. It’s also fair to say he represents some risk. He’s mostly been a disappointment, but he turned it on at the end of 2019 and is only 26 years of age.

Now, was his explosion a sign of things to come, or was this just someone who played his butt off because he was in a contract season?

player. 56. . . . A.J. Green. 5

A.J. Green was once one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. That’s no longer the case, but he’s better than most of the receivers on Philly’s roster. He also seems to get hurt a lot more than he used to.
