3. Danny Shelton

The good news for Danny Shelton entering free agency is after putting together the best year of his career in 2019, the defender should be in for a bit of a pay raise this offseason, whether it happens to be from the Patriots or another team.

If Shelton does end up testing the free agency market, chances are there will be numerous teams expressing interest to help fill their need on the defensive line, one of which could be the Eagles.

Over the years, Philadelphia has been fortunate enough to have one of the top defenses in the NFL, but even a solid group like the Eagles could always use another solid weapon or two to put the unit in better position to succeed.

Looking at the rest of the NFC East, and how 2020 could play out, Philadelphia realizes repeating as division champions is going to be far from easy when seeing how great of shape their three rivals will be in as well.

Based off his impact from the last two seasons, there’s a good chance of New England wanting Shelton to return for a third year with the team to keep the defense in better shape, and help the team make another run at the playoffs.

However, if the Eagles are in fact interested and willing to offer Shelton more, this would be a great addition to the defensive line.
