2. Jordan Lucas

Before any Eagles fan freaks out over the thought of Jordan Lucas having what it takes to coming anywhere close to the level of impact Jenkins had on the defensive side of the football, let the record show a signing like this would be a work in progress.

Since the Kansas City Chiefs appear to be ready to move on from Lucas, after two years, one of the intriguing factors over a move like this is how a team like Philadelphia would most likely be able to sign the safety at a cheaper price compared to other players.

The fact that Lucas only started four games (all in 2018) during his two-year span with the Chiefs shows why this could be a situation the Eagles use to their advantage, and potentially see this become a low-risk signing with a high reward.

Plus, what would make a move like this even more interesting for a team like Philadelphia is Lucas could help provide the necessary depth to the position if the Eagles still decided to go with a safety early on in the draft.

Philadelphia will have plenty of other great options to consider moving forward, and even though Lucas isn’t the most attractive option compared to others, there is nothing wrong with looking for underrated moves either.
