Despite the Cincinnati Bengals making the decision to use the franchise tag on A.J. Green for the 2020 season, no one would be surprised if the wideout decided to put up a fight after seeing the results of last season.

Even if the argument can be made that Green should be excited over the Bengals most likely going with Joe Burrow at No. 1 during April’s draft, a fresh start on a new team could be best for the former first-round pick.

When healthy, Green has proven to be capable of being a top wideout in the NFL, but unfortunately an ankle injury prevented him from playing in a single game all of last season.

Assuming Green has what it takes to pick right up where he left off next season once fully healthy, this could be a great addition for the Eagles if the Bengals were willing to negotiate a trade.

Of course, the one factor that could come into play for Philadelphia is how Green would most likely prefer to eventually work out some sort of long-term deal, but once again if this meant that Wentz would have a reliable weapon to work with for years to come, why not consider this possibility?

Football fans can say what they want about Green’s injuries from the last few years, but his talent alone would make this worth the gamble.
