3. Find a suitor for Alshon Jeffery and let Nelson Agholor walk

Alshon’s massive contract and injury concerns make him tough to move. There aren’t many teams that want a 30-year-old who’s been declining and injury-prone. His contract will eat up any salary cap, and he’s also been the subject of multiple rumors regarding negative locker room talk.

Jeffery was a major part of the 2017-2018 Super Bowl run, and he played with a torn rotator cuff, but a lot has changed since then. He’s still been productive when on the field, but the Eagles appeared to play better after he suffered a season-ending injury.

Philly’s front office may be of the mindset that Jeffery was behind the anonymous criticisms and complaints directed towards quarterback Carson Wentz, and there’s a vibe that they’re ready to move on, but finding a trade partner will be challenging or it could force the Eagles to take almost any deal regardless of the return. Freeing up cap space and getting younger at the receiver position may still be worth more than anything they’d receive in a trade.

Agholor is probably on his way out of town. Back-to-back seasons of 60-plus receptions and 700-plus yards had Eagles fans believing. Agholor had turned the corner and become one of the best slot receivers in the entire league, but the 2019 season wasn’t a kind one. Agholor missed time because of a knee injury and never returned.

Prior to that, he made multiple mental mistakes including fumbling without being touched in Week 3 against the Detroit Lions, giving no effort on a deep ball in week eight against the Dallas Cowboys, and dropping multiple passes as he did in 2016 and 2017.

Both Alshon and Nelson should be remembered for helping this team win its first Super Bowl in franchise history but their time in Philly needs to come to an end.
