Here’s why you bring Ngakoue in.

Stories lie. People lie. Numbers don’t. Yannick Ngakoue is one of the NFL‘s best players at his position. After being taken in the third round of 2016’s draft (69th-overall), Ngakoue has worked his way into being seen as one of the game’s elite defensive ends.

In 63 career appearances with 62 starts in Duval County, he’s registered 122 total tackles, 37.5 sacks, 14 forced fumbles, nine pass breakups, two picks, and two defensive touchdowns, one coming off of an interception and one off of one of his three career fumble recoveries.

Championship windows don’t stay open as long as they used to. Just ask any Seattle Seahawks fan. Philly’s wasting the prime years of many of the young players that they actually have on this team, particularly their signal-caller, Carson Wentz.

With the NFC being so top-heavy, the Eagles have to explore every option to increase their chances of playing football in February, or they may run out of time.
