2. Wentz can always use additional weapons

Let the record show that Carson Wentz deserves all of the credit in the world for helping the Eagles secure the NFC East title last season when taking into consideration he was basically working with practice squad members towards the end.

After all of the previous criticism over whether he was the right answer under center for Philadelphia over Nick Foles, Wentz made a clear statement in 2019 the job belongs to him.

Despite leaving the playoff game in January early due to a cheap shot, this shouldn’t take away from Wentz’s abilities on offense for the Eagles, as he should be feeling extra motivated to help Philadelphia remain a top contender in the NFC moving forward.

Of course, this will be easier said than done since Wentz can’t afford to deal with another situation like last season in which three of his top options dealt with injuries, making the team’s run at the playoffs even more incredible to witness.

Even if certain players such as DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery manage to stay healthy next season, adding insurance with another playmaker like Perriman will only make life easier for Wentz while making Philadelphia’s offense even more dangerous in the process.
