Philadelphia Eagles: 7-Round 2020 mock draft entering April
By Dan Parzych
Philadelphia selecting two LSU stars in a row may not seem like the best option for some teams, but also this shows just how good of a team the Tigers were fortunate enough to have during the 2019 season.
In fact, when looking at all of the members from the National Championship team entering the draft, chances are the Tigers will see plenty of key players selected in the first two rounds, including Kristian Fulton.
The Eagles certainly came up big in March after agreeing to acquire Slay from the Lions, and signing Nickell Robey-Coleman will help the slot position in a big way on defense, but unfortunately the No. 2 cornerback job is still a bit of a mystery.
As great as it is for Philadelphia to have certain players like Sidney Jones and Avonte Maddox competing for the spot alongside Slay, there is still uncertainty over them being the right answer.
Fulton still has plenty to prove once he makes the transition to the NFL official, but his skills in man coverage alone shows the kind of potential surrounding the Tigers standout.
There’s a reason why Fulton is considered one of the top cornerbacks from this year’s draft class, and if Jim Schwartz has any say, this seems like a move the Eagles defensive coordinator would love.
