There is some frustration over the fact that linebacker always seems to be a position in need of improvement for the Eagles during the offseason, and this happens to be the case once again for 2020.

Even if Philadelphia saved a bit of money after making the difficult decision to part ways with Nigel Bradham, the argument can be made that it would have been great to keep him around for at least another year to put the defense in better shape.

On a positive note, at least there will be plenty of talented prospects for the Eagles to consider at linebacker in April’s draft, whether it happens to be in one of the first two rounds or later on during the final day of action.

If Philadelphia does end up deciding to wait until one of the mid rounds to address their situation at linebacker, Josh Uche is another name worth keeping an eye on following a stellar career at Michigan.

During Uche’s final two seasons with the Wolverines, the linebacker combined for 14.5 sacks and 18.5 tackles for loss to help Michigan display one of the top overall defenses in the Big Ten.

Due to his length and impressive burst, it seems like only a matter of time before Uche is making a similar impact at the NFL level, and even though a move like this wouldn’t solve all of the issues for the Eagles at the position, this would still be another positive step in the right direction.
