3. Sign Alec Ogletree

Anytime a team can sign a player who used to play on a different team from the division, it always seems to sometimes take the rivalry to new levels, which could be the case for the Eagles if they were to sign Alec Ogletree.

Two years ago, the Los Angeles Rams decided to trade Ogletree to the Giants, which was a difficult decision at the time as well since the veteran had previously been one of the top leaders on the defensive side of the football since coming on board in 2013.

Ogletree’s first season in New York certainly lived up to the hype when seeing how he recorded five interceptions, two of which happened to be returned for touchdowns.

But towards the end of February, the Giants felt it would be best to part ways with Ogletree after only two seasons, and in a way it is still somewhat of a surprise to see him available at this point in the offseason.

Some teams may feel hesitant towards signing Ogletree after it seemed like he took a bit of a step back in 2019, but the Eagles should keep in mind the Giants as a team weren’t exactly in the best shape possible on defense.

By joining a defense led by Jim Schwartz, Ogletree could return to his form from a few years ago while bringing his veteran leadership to the table as well for the Eagles.
