7 players Eagles have best chance of trading up for in 2020 NFL Draft
By Dan Parzych
Over the years, linebacker always seems to be a position of need for the Eagles, and the team making the difficult decision in February to move on from Nigel Bradham certainly didn’t make the situation any easier.
But once again, the good news for Philadelphia is this year’s draft class is loaded with talent at the linebacker position, and they should be able to take advantage of landing at least one key prospect.
With that being said, when it comes to the top linebackers for the draft, the argument can be made that Isaiah Simmons from Clemson deserves to be on top of the list.
After spending the first three years with the Tigers at safety, Simmons made the switch to linebacker for 2019, meaning there is always the chance to use the defender in multiple ways in the NFL.
Coincidentally, the Eagles have some questions at safety as well now that Malcolm Jenkins is no longer part of the picture, and the team decided to give Jalen Mills a chance to prove himself at the position.
Most likely, Simmons will be selected somewhere in the top 10 when looking at all of the teams looking to improve on defense, and if this happens to be the case, Roseman would need to work his magic to pull any sort of deal off.
