K.J. Hamler and 5 wide receiver targets for Eagles in second round of draft
By Dan Parzych
If the Philadelphia Eagles decide to go with K.J. Hamler or another wide receiver in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, there will be plenty of great options to choose from.
With the news this week surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles meeting with Penn State wide receiver K.J. Hamler for the second time before the 2020 NFL Draft, it only seems fitting to look at some of the other prospects the NFC East champions could consider as well at the position.
After seeing some of the struggles from last season in the wide receiver department due to numerous injuries, the Eagles realize the importance of improving at the position before the 2020 season officially gets underway.
And since Philadelphia made the decision not to make any big moves at wide receiver during free agency, the draft is going to be even more important for the Eagles to address the need.
Luckily, this year’s draft class is absolutely loaded with talent at the wide receiver position, and while Philadelphia seems to be expressing heavy interest in Hamler following a second meeting, there is no guarantee he will end up on the Eagles.
Since Hamler is projected to be a second-round pick at the moment, Philadelphia could always take a chance of waiting until Day 2 before addressing wide receiver, and use their first-round pick (No. 21) focusing on a different position.
Even if Hamler ends up being off the board by the time Philadelphia is on the clock in the second round at No. 53, there should still be plenty of other great options to consider.
To help Eagles fans better prepare for the upcoming draft, here are some other potential options at wide receiver along with Hamler that will most likely be available in the second round.
