3 reasons fans should be excited about Eagles interest in Denzel Mims

The Philadelphia Eagles appear to be expressing heavy interest in Baylor wide receiver Denzel Mims for the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft.

With the No. 21 pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, there has been plenty of speculation surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles using the selection on a wide receiver since there will be plenty of talented prospects at the position to choose from.

Unless the Eagles make the decision to trade up in the first round, the chances of landing one of the top prospects such as CeeDee Lamb or Jerry Jeudy will seem like long shots this late in the round.

But when it comes to wide receivers expected to be available, one name worth keeping an eye on should be Denzel Mims from Baylor.

Over the last couple of weeks, Philadelphia has been linked to a few wideouts they could consider drafting in the first or second round to avoid another situation like last season in which the offense was hurting big time at the position due to injuries.

For someone like Mims, an addition like this wouldn’t result in the upcoming rookie becoming the top target right away, but with the Eagles reportedly being one of the teams the wideout has been in touch with the most, it seems like Philadelphia is strongly considering the possibility.

Plenty could obviously still happen over the next few weeks before the draft arrives as far as Philadelphia’s interest is concerned, but this isn’t going to stop the speculation over the chances of Mims coming on board.

Since it is now known that Philadelphia met again with Mims, it only seems fair to discuss a few reasons as to why this interest from the Eagles for the wideout should excite fans.
