For Jason Kelce, the Eagles’ decisions to move on from Jason Peters and Malcolm Jenkins can’t simply be described as getting less expensive and younger.

Locker room cohesion doesn’t produce statistical data. There’s no way to measure it other than to listen to what’s being said and to watch how the guys mentioned produce in an upcoming game, but if you’re looking for evidence about whether or not team chemistry both on and off the field is important, look no further than what you saw from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019 and how the team has always responded to fixtures on the roster like Jason Kelce.

When you think of the vocal leaders on the field and in the locker room over the course of the Doug Pederson era or longer, names like Jason Peters, Malcolm Jenkins, and Nigel Bradham come up. What’s unfortunate is the Eagles also decided to part ways with all three this offseason.

Jenkins realigned himself with Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints. Bradham and Peters have yet to find new homes. Might they actually return to Philly at a less-expensive rate? There are a few fans and, no doubt, several members of the Eagles’ current roster that are hoping that may be the case, and Kelce had no problem letting anyone who was listening to 94 WIP-FM’s Morning Show with Angelo Cataldi know that early on April 7th.

What follows is some of the results of that conversation.
