Justin Jefferson (1st round, pick 21). 21. player. 817. . .

From January to the end of February, the theory was Jerry Jeudy and CeeDee Lamb, the two best receivers in this draft, would be gone by the time the Eagles got their shot at making a selection at 21. That theory still stands, but what about Henry Ruggs III?

For quite some time, Eagles fans had resigned themselves to the theory that Philly would land Henry Ruggs III at 21. No one would have argued with that one. Then, Ruggs ran a 4.2-second 40-yard dash at the most recent NFL Scouting Combine and wrecked everything.

Thankfully, things seem to be working in the Eagles’ favor. If your favorite team is in need of a wide receiver, as is the case with the “Birds”, you’re in luck. This is arguably one of the deepest classes ever at the position. It’s so deep that a team can miss on their first three choices and still wind up with the ultra-talented Justin Jefferson towards the end of Round 1.

His name has been tossed around Eagles circles for a while. There’s no reason to dismiss that idea now. Pencil Mr. Jefferson in at 21 if he’s available, a very realistic option.
