Philadelphia Eagles: 3 reasons to consider D’Andre Swift at No. 21 in draft

2. No guarantees Scott is best option for No. 2 running back
First off, let the record show that Philadelphia has every reason in the world to feel confident in Boston Scott being able to handle the responsibilities of the backup running back for the Eagles in 2020 after picking up the slack towards the end of last season.
After Jordan Howard basically missed the second half of the regular season due to a mysterious shoulder injury, Miles Sanders was able to step up in a big way to become the top option for the Eagles at running back.
But when it came to the biggest surprise impact player of all, Scott easily took home the honors after coming up big on numerous occasions, including a three-touchdown outing in a win over the New York Giants.
With Howard no longer around after joining the Miami Dolphins in free agency, the Eagles hope Scott has what it takes to be the reliable backup running back Philadelphia is looking for, although there are no guarantees this will be the case.
Not only do the Eagles need to be smart, and consider all potential options at running back, but also if they are in position to upgrade with Swift over Scott, this would seem like a no brainer.
