NFL Draft prospect Jordyn Brooks gives Eagles an instant upgrade at ILB
Former Texas Tech linebacker Jordyn Brooks isn’t getting mentioned much by the Philadelphia Eagles, but he may be the upgrade this team needs in the NFL Draft.
Here’s what we know about the 2020 NFL Draft as it relates to the Philadelphia Eagles. The “Birds” have eight selections. In the first three rounds, they fall at the 21st (round one), the 53rd (round two), and the 103rd (round three). Once Round 4 arrives, they have three selections (the 127th, 145th, and the 146th). Two trades, one with the New England Patriots and one with the Atlanta Falcons, gives them the 168th choice and the 190th, respectively.
That’s all any of us know for sure.
Certainly, we can all acknowledge that they need a few wide receivers and that they’ll take one or two in this year’s version of the selection meeting, but no one knows if that will be at 21. Some are of the opinion that should be the plan while others state finding one should wait until Round 2 with this being a deep class of pass catchers.
Here’s something else we can agree on. No one that falls under the category of fans or the media is in love with the Eagles’ situation at linebacker. Here’s an option that no one’s mentioning that could fix everything. His name is Jordyn Brooks of the Texas Tech Red Raiders, and he might be the best linebacker no one is discussing. Buckle up. We have much to discuss.
