5. No defensive ends are taken until Round 6.

This one won’t make “Birds” fans happy, but it’s hard to imagine how the Eagles are going to get pass rushers before they add linebackers, two wide receivers, offensive lineman, a corner and maybe another running back.

It just seems as though those other needs are more pressing. Oh, and then there’s this. Who’s to say that they won’t draft a quarterback? Is anyone’s adrenaline pumping over the possibility of Carson Wentz getting hurt and them trotting Nate Sudfeld onto the field?

Philly will walk into 2020’s regular season with Derek Barnett and Brandon Graham as their starters. That we know. They’ve signed Javon Hargrave, and they’ve given Hassan Ridgeway an extension. Malik Jackson will be back, and you all know they have Fletcher Cox in the mix. The middle of the defensive line is set, and with all of that talent, anyone on the outside should have success as a byproduct.

Heck, some of us could probably get one or two sacks with those guys getting the bulk of the attention. It’s doubtful that this team takes another pass rusher before Round 6 when they’ve invested so much into the position already.
