Those of you who have been critical of Eagles vice president and GM Howie Roseman may want to take a few moments to see what was recently said about him.

By now, you’ve watched enough of the NFL to know everybody isn’t going to agree on everything. No one can get on the same page about who the Philadelphia Eagles should take in the draft outside of Justin Jefferson. It feels like, regardless of what he does, half of the fan base believes Carson Wentz has no talent, and despite the fact that the Eagles have made the playoffs at the end of each of the last three regular seasons, depending on who you ask, Howie Roseman has no idea what he’s doing.

Keep in mind the fact that this guy constructed the roster that won the Super Bowl at the end of the 2017-2018 season. Then he was named the Pro Football Writers Association’s Executive of the Year.

Philly’s endured countless injuries over the past two seasons, but good old Howie keeps finding guys to plug into the lineup. Can we at least give the guy some credit for that?

If any of that is something that you can remotely agree on, you’ll probably love what Around The NFL editor Gregg Rosenthal had to say in a recent NFL general manager power ranking that he put together. On his list, Howie’s number four on a list with 32 names on it. Give this one a look if you agree. Then again, those of you that have been attacking this man will need to read this too.

"Making the playoffs in back-to-back seasons despite being one of the most injury-plagued teams in football proves that Roseman is resourceful, if unlucky. The identity of the Eagles — strong up front on both sides of the ball — remains intact, as does the need for a productive young receiver and improvement in the secondary. For the first time in years, Philly has cap space (even after the savvy pickups of Darius Slay and Javon Hargrave) and a full assortment of draft picks. Don’t be shocked if the Eagles still have one more big move left in them."

Only the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ Kevin Colbert, the Kansas City Chiefs‘ Brett Veach (who gets an assist from Andy Reid), and the New England Patriots‘ Bill Belichick rank higher.

We all have opinions, but sometimes, opinions are only as valuable as one’s intimate knowledge of a particular subject. We’ve all grown to trust Rosenthal’s theories over the years. He talks to teams. He talks to players, and he talks to coaches. If he says Roseman is in the top five, that should be good enough for any of us. Give us that over the anonymous tirades of some guy on Twitter or Facebook any day.
