We’ve gone from Justin Jefferson to Denzel Mims. Here are three quick thoughts on that new twinkle in the Philadelphia Eagles’ eye.
If you’ve been busy, and it’s understandable if you have been, you’ve, no doubt, heard all of the NFL Draft talk and how the Philadelphia Eagles desperately need to fix their issues at the wide receiver position. They’ve been linked to Henry Ruggs III. They’ve been linked to Justin Jefferson and K.J. Hamler as well, but one theory has picked up a ton of steam lately. What about taking a shot on Denzel Mims?
Look around, and you can find support for Philly adding each of the four prospects mentioned, but after an appearance by a very impressive Mims on 94 WIP-FM’s Jon Marks and Ike Reese Show, he’s getting a lot of mention as a guy who could trade Baylor Bears green for the midnight green of the Eagles.
He spent about 16 minutes with Marks and Reese, and a lot was covered. That one’s definitely worth a listen, but in the long-term, questions need to be answered. Is this the guy the Eagles need to pair with Carson Wentz? Here are three immediate reactions after listening to that chat a few more times.
