L'Jarius Sneed, Louisiana Tech. 3. player. 2119. . .

Skip Holtz’s Louisiana Tech Bulldogs got nice production from L’Jarius Sneed who appeared in 42 games at the collegiate level and racked up 177 total tackles in the process. That includes 126 solo stops and 5.5 tackles that resulted in a loss of yardage.

He also played his way into 2.5 sacks, eight interceptions, 19 pass breakups, and three trips to the end zone as a result of three of those picks.

Sneed improved his chances of hearing his name called during the annual selection meeting as he turned in a nice workout at the most recent NFL Scouting Combine. He ran a 4.37-second 40-yard dash, showcased a 41-inch vertical, threw up 12 reps on the bench press, and turned in a 131-inch showing in the broad jump.

He’s six-feet tall and weighs 192 pounds, and in his draft profile, Lance Zierlein compares him to Maurice Canady. If that’s an accurate assessment, the hope is any team that reels Sneed in can get slightly better production than Canady has been able to yield. Expect to hear the former Conference USA star’s name on Day 3 of the draft.
