Even though it sounds like a long shot, the Philadelphia Eagles should reach out to the Jacksonville Jaguars over a potential trade for Leonard Fournette.

Now that Leonard Fournette appears to officially be on the trade block, should the Philadelphia Eagles be making a phone call to the Jacksonville Jaguars before the draft to see what it would take to land the running back?

As bad as it sounds, when seeing the all of the previous key players Jacksonville has dealt over the last couple of years ranging from Jalen Ramsey to Nick Foles, the news surrounding Fournette shouldn’t be surprising at all.

Rightfully so, there will be most like be numerous teams reaching out to the Jaguars about Fournette since he is arguably one of the toughest running backs in the NFL when healthy.

And while the Eagles are in better shape than most teams thanks to the current duo of Miles Sanders and Boston Scott, one can only imagine what new levels this offense would potentially reach if Fournette were to become part of the picture.

Even if acquiring Fournette would possibly require giving up a future first or second-round pick, if Philadelphia were to pull this off, and find a way to keep the running back around for the long run, the trade would seem worth it.

Since the discussion about a potential Fournette trade isn’t going to disappear anytime soon this week since things will most likely heat up leading up to the draft, it’s time to have a little fun by pointing out a few points as to why the Eagles should at least consider the possibility.

Long shot or not, one of the best parts about the NFL is how anything can happen, including Fournette somehow finding his way to Philadelphia if Jacksonville were in fact serious about a potential trade.
