Philadelphia Eagles: Ranking NFL Draft’s top 20 wide receivers
No one’s going to confuse Michael Pittman Jr. with one of the speedsters in this year’s class, but it’s hard to ignore someone who racked up 101 catches, 1,275 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in his final season in the Pac-12.
The South Carolina Gamecocks‘ program has fallen on hard times recently, but they continue to put talent in the NFL. Add Bryan Edwards‘ name to the list.
He’s a solid option that tallied 71 receptions that resulted in 816 receiving yards and six trips to the end zone. He figures to hear his name called in Round 3 or Round 4.
Former Texas Longhorns standout Collin Johnson might have had the opportunity to craft a more impressive resume in his final run in Austin had he not missed time with a hamstring injury.
A lot will depend on how much stock interested teams put in his medical report, but 38 catches for 559 yards and three touchdowns in seven games isn’t bad.
That six-foot-five, 221-pound frame doesn’t hurt either.
