Quarterback. Oregon. Justin Herbert. 8. 31. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player

Are the Giants truly in fact interested in Justin Herbert at quarterback, or is this simply just an attempt to convince other teams to possibly trade up in the first round of the draft?

Either way, since anything is possible when it comes to the draft, it only seems fair to discuss the possibility, especially if New York believes the Oregon star is a better option under center over Daniel Jones.

Around this time last year, the Giants pulled off one of the top surprises in the first round of the draft by selecting Jones, mainly because there were arguably better options available for the team to go with at quarterback.

Jones certainly displayed a few impressive performances as a rookie when taking into consideration he didn’t exactly have the most consistent options to work with outside of Saquon Barkley.

But similar to the situation with the Redskins and Haskins, if the Giants truly believe that Herbert would be the better option over Jones in the long run, why wouldn’t New York at least explore this possibility?

And once again just like the situation with Haskins, if the Giants did decide to draft Herbert on Thursday, chances are they would be able to find a trade partner for Jones if they wanted to get the quarterback off their hands.
