Philadelphia Eagles: 2020 NFL Draft’s top 10 CBs after Jeffrey Okudah
We’re counting down the top ten cornerbacks outside of Jeffrey Okudah and C.J. Henderson in the 2020 NFL Draft. Philadelphia Eagles fans take notice.
Believe it or not, it just feels like the Philadelphia Eagles‘ fan base isn’t as concerned about the team’s cornerback position as they were about two months ago, and all it cost this proud franchise was a third-round selection and a fifth-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft and a three-year extension that followed worth $50 million including $30 million guaranteed.
Just like that, Darius Slay was an Eagle. The question is who starts on the other side of the defensive formation?
Philly added Nickell Robey-Coleman in free agency. They also employ Rasul Douglas, Craig James, Avonte Maddox, Cre’Von LeBlanc, and Sidney Jones as their other cornerbacks. That’s a lot of bodies, but there’s no guarantee that any of those guys are the man for the job. Philly would be wise to spend a draft pick on someone who may be able to play the other outside corner role.
Jeffrey Okudah and C.J. Henderson are the best in this year’s draft class, but they’ll be gone long before Philly is ready to take one, so let’s all do some scouting. Let’s count down the top ten cornerbacks in the 2020 NFL Draft. Just for kicks, we’ll throw Okudah and Henderson out of the conversation to make things interesting.
