Here are the 20 best running backs in the 2020 NFL Draft, many of whom can take the pressure off of Miles Sanders and Boston Scott in the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense.

The 2020 NFL Draft is approaching, and everyone’s talking. For the Philadelphia Eagles fan, every discussion hinges on the guys who are already here that will play major roles and who the guys are that might be added.

As far as the guys we know on offense, we’re aware that Philly’s got talent in the backfield with Carson Wentz. Things couldn’t have gone much better for Miles Sanders in Year 1. His 818 rushing yards and 509 receiving yards placed him in some rare air as he passed two legends, LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson, in the team’s record books.

Sanders is now the owner of the highest rushing yard total by a rookie after passing McCoy, and he’s the owner of the most all-purpose yards by a rookie in franchise history after exceeding what Jackson did in 2008.

Then, there’s Boston Scott. His road to the NFL playing field was a little rockier. The Eagles found him on the New Orleans Saints‘ practice squad in December of 2018.

In 2019, he was waived, re-signed to the Eagles’ practice squad, and promoted to the active roster during a three-month span, but he ended his 2019-2020 campaign in a blaze of glory. He helped the Eagles immensely down the stretch. They wouldn’t have made the playoffs without either guy, but if Philly is going to make the postseason for a fourth-straight year, these two will need help.

Sure, Elijah Holyfield is in the mix and there’s the possibility of giving Corey Clement one more chance, but no one will complain if the Eagles add another back for depth. Here are the best that the draft will have to offer.
