812. . . . J.K. Dobbins, Ohio State. 5. player

J.K. Dobbins was a stud for the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2019 with 2,003 rushing yards, 21 rushing touchdowns, 247 receiving yards on 23 receptions, and two touchdowns through the air. He didn’t seem like the same guy versus the Clemson Tigers but was that because he wore down or because the competition was better.

It’s something to think about as we move towards the draft.

. . Cam Akers, Florida State. 4. player. 804.

Cam Akers is fun to watch if he gets hot. It will be very interesting to keep tabs on him in the pros. He has a nice-sized frame, standing at five-foot-ten and weighing 217 pounds. He can scoot too. While in Indianapolis for the most recent NFL Scouting Combine, he turned in a 4.47-second 40-yard dash.

He figures to come off of draft boards on Day 2.

. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, LSU. 3. player. 817. .

In a world where Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, and Patrick Queen exist, it could be difficult to get the attention of college football fans and draft scouts.

If getting wrapped up in what those three did for the LSU Tigers in 2019 took your attention away from what Clyde Edwards-Helaire was doing, you may want to go back and watch a few games.

He did a lot of the dirty work without being asked, and by season’s end, he had tallied 1,414 rushing yards, 16 rushing touchdowns, 55 receptions, 453 receiving yards, and another trip to the end zone as a receiver. He’s a monster.
